Mr & Mrs McReynolds’ Wedding Album

Ahhh… looking at that picture makes me so happy!  Another wedding over for Blandford’s Buttons “Wedding” Photography!

I’ve known Amanda for a long time, we worked pretty closely together for a number of years a while ago  We shared laughs, tears, and plenty of drinks!  So when she asked me to do her wedding photos I was SO excited!  And when she told me more about the day I felt like all my Christmasses had come at once – a rustic barn you say with a set from fellow Dorsetians (yes I just made that up) The Leggomen!  YESSSSSSS!

So I assembled the team – Lynn from Lynn Price Photography who is based in Farnborough.  She is predominantly a studio and wedding photographer and takes the most beautiful newborn images – she is also a propaholic and is the most “similar to me” person I have ever met, must be why we have been friends for nearly 20 years!  Also making up the dream team was Sarah from Lilybud Photography, we met through photography groups a while ago but this was the first time we met in person (I was very relieved she wasn’t a mad axeman) – she takes the most amazing candid shots, my favourites from the day are on this post.  If you’re in her area then you should definitely check her out!

Anyway, the day rolled around, I travelled up from Blandford, Sarah from Essex, Lynn got the lie in and we all had an amazing time with Neill & Amanda and all of their lovely family and friends.  I have never seen so much laughter at a wedding and I am not exaggerating, in fact I’m not sure Amanda stopped laughing for even a minute!  It was especially lovely for me to see as her friend (as well as perfect for the photos!). Good work Neill – if you can keep that up then you’re on to a winner!

So just before the ceremony the guys were having some fun at the pub, obviously too many slim fasts pre wedding as they were punching new holes in their belts in the pub car park to hold their trousers up!

We had similar shenanigans at the girls’ house when one of the dresses appeared to be longer than when they bought it, Jackie the MOB was sat on the floor in her rollers raising the hem!  I LOVE wedding mornings like this.

All ready, it was time to get the show on the road.  I met a slightly nervous Groom at the church.  Scuse me for getting a bit photographery on you but this church… with THAT massive window letting in all that beautiful light was amazing.  Bit tricky for me up front as the light was pouring into my lens but from the back, wow, my favourite church so far I think!

The procession was started by little Max who threw a couple of petals halfway down and then dumped the lot at the end – bit like my old paper rounds!  I caught Neill having a bit of a tear as his bride walked down the aisle, ahhhhhhhhhh!  Then lots of flirty giggling between the two of them for the rest of the ceremony which I loved, these days are all about enjoying yourself!

The reception was at the amazing Stokes Farm Barn in Wokingham.  I never knew it existed before but if you are on the lookout for a barn wedding in that area I would so highly recommend it.  Suzanne who is the co-ordinator there is just amazing, all day long she was hands on getting things done and all the time with a smile on her face.  But they have it all, a lake, a barn, lots of little interesting places for photos and a field of (barley/wheat/corn – not sure what it was but it was good for photos – don’t shoot me, I’m not a farmer!).

Meal over, it was time for the speeches, the best men were so well prepared with lots of props which had everyone in stitches, a racing suit and a lobster among them – I will leave the rest to your imagination!

Anyway, suffice to say, it was an amazing day from start to finish and I know that Neill and Amanda have been enjoying reliving their day through all the photos as it passes in a flash and remembering everything that happened is not as easy as you expect it will be!

Congrats you two – stay as happy as this day forever more!
